Must have a demonstrated commitment to programs and services designed to support people with mental illness, substance use disorders, and other disabilities to live in the most integrated settings possible. Knowledge of best and emerging practices in mental health, substance use disorders, and other disabilities, including social determinants of health, crisis response/mental health emergency services, medications for Opioid Use Disorder and other treatment and recovery supports, Olmstead and community integration, systems of care for children/youth/families, and with intersecting issues/systems (e.g., homelessness, housing, health care, child welfare, criminal justice) preferred. The candidate must be knowledgeable about program and clinical best practices at the provider and service delivery levels, and should be able to translate this knowledge to support the work of TAC Senior Consultants on a range of issues, including assisting state and local behavioral health authorities and other public and private agencies (e.g., behavioral health providers) in the design and implementation of programs and services. The ideal candidate possesses deep programmatic, policy, systems-level, and funding knowledge and experience in one or more of TAC’s core work areas, and directly applies it to assessing client needs and providing relevant subject matter expertise to TAC clients and other stakeholders. The Senior Associate in Behavioral Health and Human Services manages and provides technical assistance, consultation, and training on projects and initiatives to improve access to evidence-based services for people with mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and other disabilities.
